Striving to conserve and rehabilitate local wildlife.
Welcome to Nature's Kingdom Conservation!
Nature's Kingdom is a licensed 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to caring for injured
and orphaned wildlife with the goal of returning them to their natural habitat.
We are licensed to rehabilitate mammals and federally protected/all species of birds.
Our facility is located in Herron, Michigan. Nature's Kingdom Wildlife Rehab is the only wildlife rehabilitation facility in Northeast Michigan. Nature's Kingdom works with the local Department of Natural Resources and Switzer Veterinary Clinic's Ryan Knight in the capture, care, and release of our wildlife patients. In the future, we will open to local schools, and host seminars to educate and inspire the public to conserve and protect Michigan's native wildlife.
A BIG Milestone for Nature's Kingdom
We are excited to announce that Nature’s Kingdom Conservation Center has officially received its USDA Class C Exhibitor license! After years of caring for wildlife and working toward this dream, we are preparing to welcome our community in spring 2027, once our visitor center is complete.
Nature’s Kingdom is a Christian, faith-based nonprofit where children and families can learn about wildlife, conservation, and the beauty of God’s creation. Our goal is to keep admission free for school-age children. Our visitor center will include a gift shop, reception area, and a little library with space to sit and enjoy wildlife books.
We also plan to build a pavilion for educational programs, workshops, music, and community events. Bringing this vision to life will take community support. Businesses, schools, churches, organizations, and individuals can help through donations, building and enclosure supplies, skilled labor, volunteer time, or animal sponsorships.
Interested in helping us grow? We would love to welcome you for a scheduled sneak peek at the animals and share our plans in person! We are not yet open for regular public visits. Please message this page or email natureskingdomwildliferehab@gmail.com to arrange a visit and discuss how you might get involved. Thank you to everyone who has helped us reach this milestone. We’re excited to build this next chapter together!
